How does it all work?

This depends on your package! Guests can either be drawn on a first come first served basis, where guests can queue up to have their photo taken and then pickup the drawing later, or if the booking is full coverage, every guest will be photographed at the start of the booking and the portraits worked on until the end.

How long do you illustrate for?

This depends on your package! The minimum booking is a 4 hour slot or a full day at 8 hours can also be booked. To illustrate a specific list of guests, please get in touch for a custom quote and time estimate.

How long does a portrait of the married couple take?

As this is an extra special portrait a lot longer will be spent on the couples portrait to make this absolutely perfect! An A4, A3 or A2 portrait can be requested in advance, depending on the size, the portrait will take approximately 30 minutes - 2.5 hours. This can be booked separately or incorporated into your 4 hour or 8 hour booking at any point.

What are the portraits like?

Each portrait is created in watercolour paint and ink or ink pen on heavyweight textured watercolour paper. Standard illustrations are created at A5 size or 8 x 10” and are drawn from the knees up.

Do I need to provide anything for you to illustrate my wedding?

Rebecca provides all materials including paper, paints and brushes. All Rebecca will require is a table and seat anywhere within the venue with adequate lighting, or beneath a canopy if outside.

Can I watch you draw?

Yes! Rebecca is a seasoned illustrator with years of experience drawing in front of crowds. You can watch illustrations unfold and take photos and videos.

Do I need to sit for a long time to have my portraits done?

No! Rebecca will take a photo of you or your guests and work from this, meaning your guests do not have to sit and wait for their portrait to be finished.

Can guests take their portraits home?

Yes! Portraits are created on they and after drying guests can take these away with them at any point to take home! (Don’t worry, portraits typically only take 10 minutes to dry fully!)

What areas do you cover, do you only cover locally and can you illustrate at my wedding outside the UK?

Yes! Rebecca works both locally all across the UK and abroad, to check if Rebecca can cover your area, simply get in touch. We are based in West Yorkshire and cover areas including Leeds, York, Harrogate, Doncaster, Wakefield, Knaresborough, Huddersfield, Worksop, Sheffield and many more.
